THE 2023 IN REVIEW

Given the ongoing challenges and uncertainties in the global economy, the year 2023 presented numerous hurdles for the team at Vietnam Blockchain Corporation (VBC). This period was recognized as a time of concerted efforts, marked by significant transformations in the formation and development of the company. Apart from making strides in the Agriculture and Food sectors, VBC actively researched and introduced to the market technological Blockchain solutions addressing practical issues in various fields, such as Water Supply and Drainage, Real Estate, and more.

OPERATION OF VBC IN 2023

In 2023, one of the notable achievements of VBC is the opportunity to implement the Agridential.vn solution in various collaborative projects with government agencies and prestigious corporations in Vietnam.

Accordingly, VBC has collaborated with the Department of Standards, Metrology and Quality (DSMQ) - Department of Science and Technology of Ca Mau province to successfully establish a product traceability system for Ca Mau province.

Up to this point, VBC had perfected both the interface and features of the Product Origin Traceability Portal for Cà Mau province to convey consistently. Specifically, in 2023, the product origin traceability system in Cà Mau province was implemented and integrated into the Portal for 38 specific products (including OCOP products and branded products) with over 60,000 Blockchain traceability stamps issued. This was considered a driving force for the system to expand further in the coming years, supporting compliance with origin traceability requirements for product distribution in supermarkets and other localities outside the province.

One of the other notable projects was when VBC collaborated with Saigon Agriculture Incorporation Company - One Member Limited Liability (SAGRI) to successfully implement origin traceability for specific products such as Herbal Pork, VietGAP Pork, and processed products of Sagrifood. The project aimed to establish a traceability system to ensure comprehensive information transmission to consumers.

The success of the project ensured transparency throughout the closed-loop farming and production process, creating favorable conditions for quality control in the supply chain and food safety. With information recorded and verified on the Blockchain platform, Sagrifood took proactive management measures and directly interacted with consumers through convenient QR code labels. Consumers could access information such as the name of the production company, product name, pig farming process, slaughter, processing, and the consumption batch.

Alongside the advantages of the Agridential.vn solution, the VBchain ecosystem of Vietnam Blockchain Corporation (VBC) was also expanding with a variety of software and Blockchain solutions, effectively addressing real-world challenges in sectors such as Real Estate, Environment, Finance, E-commerce, and many others. The VBC team committed to continuous improvement and officially introduced these solutions to the Vietnamese and international markets in the near past, with high expectations for the performance and value they bring.

To facilitate the journey of bringing solutions to the international market, in 2023, VBC maintained its focus on researching new markets and continued expanding by establishing four new branches in potential markets: VBC Singapore (Singapore), VBC Japan (Japan), VBC Europe (Europe), and VBC Dubai (West Asia).

The vigorous promotion of "Digital Transformation and Blockchain Solutions Consultancy" in 2023 was considered an effective strategy by VBC in reaching out to businesses in various sectors, notably in the Water Supply and Drainage industry. Currently, VBC has become a successful consultant for many prominent partners in the Water Supply and Drainage sector.

Collaborating with N.T.P Trading Co.,Ltd. to consult, support digital transformation, and design and build solutions for electronic contracts, electronic invoices, and telephone switchboards

Collaborating with Binh Duong Water - Environment Joint Stock (BIWASE) to consult on digital transformation and build a CRM system synchronized with the new installation and repair application, as well as synchronize electronic invoices.

Additionally, VBC continued to participate in communication activities such as Exhibition (TECHTRAVERSE 2023 - OPEN INNOVATION DAY, TECHFEST-WHISE 2023...); Interview with the media (VOH AM610Khz, VOH FM 99.9MHz,...); Presentation at state seminars/conferences(The 16th Southeast Regional Conference on Science and Technology Exchange - 2023, the Creative Connection Event in October with the theme "Application of Blockchain Solutions in State Management,"...).

Through these activities, Vietnam Blockchain Corporation (VBC) achieved the goal of enhancing awareness not only among government agencies and enterprises but also providing opportunities for people to better understand the digital transformation process and the necessity of applying leading technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, such as Blockchain. This helped to accelerate the transformation process and achieve clearer efficiency while supporting the community in recognizing the importance of using new technology for convenience and high performance.

Despite a year of ups and downs, the achievements in 2023 clearly demonstrated the relentless efforts of the VBC team. This process was reflected through significant awards that VBC had received, such as the Second Prize - the Creative Startups category at the Ho Chi Minh City Creative Awards 2023, "Asia's Exemplary Business 2023” - ASIA AWARD 2023, Entrepreneur of the Year 2023 - Blockchain System Development, APAC Entrepreneur, and more.
